In line with the easing of the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, we are delighted to announce that we are reopening on Wednesday 20 May. We look forward to welcoming guests old and new at the inn.
To ensure the safety of our guests and employees, we have introduced special Covid-19 guidelines and working procedures. The safety of our guests and staff at Henne Kirkeby Kro inn is our top priority. We are therefore continuously following the recommendations and guidelines of the government and health authorities, adjusting our procedures accordingly. We have also joined our trade association HORESA’s ‘Safe to visit’ programme.

You will find our contact information in your booking confirmation. Remember to provide your booking number.
In case of late cancellation, we will do our utmost to sell the reservation to a third party, as we often have people on our waiting list. Physical distancing & room capacity
In keeping with the new guidelines, we have reduced our indoor table capacity to a maximum of 36 guests. We are complying with the guidelines for staying in rooms and are enforcing a 1 metre distance between guests and 2 m2 of space per guest.
Our waiting staff provide a friendly service while observing social distancing so as to avoid direct physical contact with guests. In addition, staff will limit their presence at guests’ tables in order to reduce the amount of time spent with guests.
Cleaning & hygiene
In order to limit the spread of infection, all rooms will undergo additional cleaning with a special focus on contact surfaces such as handles, light switches, table surfaces, faucets, etc. For the same reason, we have removed books, magazines and other unnecessary items. The content of the minibar will be disinfected prior to arrival. In addition, all used and unused toiletries will be replaced during cleaning.
Hand sanitiser has been made available throughout the inn and it is a mandatory requirement that our staff regularly use sanitiser to disinfect themselves and contact surfaces.
Staff rooms and toilet facilities are cleaned several times a day. Guest toilets will only be supplied with individual washcloths for hand wiping.
All our employees and persons affiliated with Henne Kirkeby Kro have been instructed in the Danish Health Authority’s recommendations on good hygiene and appropriate behaviour.
We ask that guests only visit us if they are healthy and do not have any Covid-19 symptoms. We have impressed on our employees the need to comply at all times with the health authorities’ guidelines. If guests or staff are showing the least sign of Covid-19 symptoms, they must return home and self isolate.
- We ask that you to cancel your booking or restaurant visit if you are not well and show even mild signs of a cough, fever or cold.
- We ask that you cancel your booking if you have been in contact with someone who has been found to be infected with coronavirus.
- We ask that you use hand sanitiser when you arrive at the inn’s reception, when using the inn’s common areas and when you are shown to the table.
- We ask that you observe social distancing.
Hand sanitiser is available throughout the inn and must be used regularly by all staff and guests.
Rules on social gathering
As part of the efforts to limit the spread of Covid-19 in Denmark, the government and the authorities have taken a number of measures to reduce the number of social contacts, ensure proper distancing between Danes and increase the impact of social distancing. That is why a ban on public gatherings of more than 10 people has been introduced.
Thus, we cannot serve a group of more than 10 people, but we can have several groups of a maximum of 10 people in the restaurant at the same time if the groups are kept apart. A group should consist only of people who are already in close contact with each other and who are normally in the same immediate social circle.
The ban will apply provisionally from 18 March to 8 June 2020. We are awaiting amendments to the current rules which in future will allow gatherings of 30-50 people, thus also making it easier to organise parties and meetings.
Health Authority guidelines
We encourage all our guests to protect themselves and others from infection by following the Danish Health Authority’s recommendations and advice on preventing the spread of infection:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and hot water for at least 30 seconds.
- Use hand sanitiser as extra security
- Maintain a proper distance and ask others to do the sameAvoid handshakes, cheek kisses and hugging
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- Avoid physical contact and social gatherings
- Avoid larger gatherings than 10 people and public transport
- Stay at home, even with mild symptoms
- Always cough and sneeze into your elbow or in a paper handkerchief – not in your hands
- Consider wearing gloves when you go out – both at home and at work
- Pay attention to cleaning
- Pay extra attention to the elderly and chronically ill
